The "Sunshine State" ......has not been so "sunny" lately, the daily rains and thunderstorms have filled our pool to the point where the water is over the brim, ........grass, weeds, bushes, trees all grow at an incredible rate, and a daily bike ride to work can be quite a wet experience. The storms usually roll in around 2-4pm and have lasted till 10 pm or later on most evenings.
I'm told this is an unusual weather pattern, but for the previous few months we've experienced an "unusual" dry spell, so I'd guess mother nature is now making up for that previous dryness.......none the less, the people round here are purdy' happy about the rain, most say we needed it.
With all the wetness, we still managed to put in a few miles on the old bike, mostly with our ragged group of miscreants and alcoholics called the Unified Riders Group. One of the rides was a photo scavenger hunt that was actually pretty interesting and alot of fun, also a couple of rides to St. Cloud thru "lovebug" country, and a ride to Vero Beach, the home of Piper Aircraft Facilities with a pretty darned good restaurant located at the airport. Also the local HD dealership has "free" beer at their events on many saturdays, so we kinda gravitate in that direction once in a while....
