The Big Trip 2016 - Days 1 thru 4

The "plan" was to meet the Connecticut Crew in Billings, Montana. We took a pretty nice 3 day ride from Tucson, AZ to Billings. We rode out on August 20th, headed north thru Phoenix into Sedona, across Lake Powell into Utah and spent the night in Kanab. Sure beats going thru CT, New York and Ohio. Some sweet pics below.

Day 2 we took a detour into Bryce Canyon, all I can say is ....spectacular!!

After Bryce we took the Scenic route up RT89 and headed into Salt Lake City for a night, then Idaho and into Montana.

Checked into the Dude Rancher Lodge, and our friends from CT arrived about an hour later.

The Dude Rancher Lodge has a documented history of being haunted by ghosts. Mark actually had a close encounter with some of those famous ghosts.

Day #4 - We picked up some more of the CT crew at the Billings Airport and all was right in the world again. (but still two missing)

Beach Bound - July 1 - 4

A little getaway weekend to the California coast line. This time we left the bike home, took the Jeep and headed west out on I-8, the 6 hr ride took us near San Diego and the Studio Diner for their famous fried whole belly clams. Then onto Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Clemente, Encinita, etc. being a holiday weekend hotel prices were steep and we ended overpaying for a crappy room in Oceanside, but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. We ran around on the beautiful beaches, walked the cliffs, got badly sunburnt, enjoyed the scenery, food, beers and some really awesome waves, not to mention the beautiful weather we had.
